How to Add Your Contacts Into Xing

December 25th, 2009

Xing is a popular social and business networking tool. Xing is available in a variety of languages and seems to be most popular across Europe. We’ve added Xing support to our export options.

Importing your CloudContacts business card contacts into Xing is very easy. Just follow the simple steps below and you will be on your way to maximizing the value of your business card contacts!

Step 1 – after downloading your contacts from CloudContacts, login to your Xing account and select the Contacts drop-down menu then choose the invite contacts option.

Step 2 – under the header “Invite contacts from your address book” select the text file option. A box will be displayed where you will select the file you saved from CloudContacts to your harddrive that contains your business card contacts.

Step 3 – the next page will display all of your contacts (it may take a moment if you have a lot of contacts) and you can select the ones that you want to invite to your Xing network. If you select a contact that is already in your Xing network, no worries it will let you know and won’t send a duplicate email.

That’s it! Now your business card contacts will receive a message to connect with you on Xing.
