More CloudContacts Reviews

November 1st, 2008

The feedback about CloudContacts continues to come in. Sean is our first blogger to order – really looking forward to his followup post about how he thought the process went.

Sean Percival – “I can’t think of how many times I’ve been somewhere and needed access to information found only in my pile of business cards. Of course those are at home, rubber banded together, in some long forgotten about place. Now I can just hit up the website or better yet export the data and toss it into my address book.”

John Peters – …After we bring the cards home, we enter them into Outlook, typing out each one. Then we export them to Salesforce.com. After a while, this seemed to be such a pain, we bought a card scanner. That was about $250 and as it turns out, more trouble than it is worth. First you scan it. Then you have to correct the scan because they don’t all get read correctly (especially with the cool looking cards). So, we’ve opted to go back to typing them… but that’s a big data entry cost when you consider staff time.

Cory Boatright – I bought one of those CardScan readers for like $200 and it took forever to scan them. I think I scanned about 10 cards and I was done. I wish I knew this existed.
