New Support For QR Codes
November 14th, 2008I’ve written about two-dimensional barcodes (typically referred to as QR codes) many times on CenterNetworks. They are already a very popular way to interact with advertising and content in Japan and are slowly gaining in popularity here in the U.S. as well. Check out some examples of QR codes in Japan that Satoko wrote about earlier this year.
QR codes are used in a variety of ways and we’ve decided to add support for the codes on CloudContacts. Our initial installation provides a QR code that, when scanned, will call the person’s phone number listed in the code. Over the next couple of months we will poll our users to get their feedback about what other QR codes they would like to see created.
